[CED/CD/EAT] Extension Partners Map

Good afternoon, CEDs!

One of the initiatives I’ve been working on is to develop a statewide interactive map of all External Partners.  You may have seen an example of this in Maricopa County<https://uagis.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapSeries/index.html?appid=a70210396c9843068db5d5bc6a92f5dd>.  The map I’ve created is completed and includes layers for all AZ Congressional Districts, all AZ Legislative Districts, and all County Board of Supervisor boundaries.  You can view the new map here:  https://uagis.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=824348904ebb434f8f4479ba7e1f096e.  In the top-right side of the screen is a layers icon where you can filter the map to display any layers.

The next step is to populate it with data of External Partners.  This is where we need your help in providing this data for your specific counties.  We will follow the same format Maricopa used, but with a few small changes.  I’ve attached a spreadsheet you can use to populate and send back to me.  Once that’s done, I will import your list into the map and have it ready for use.  We’ll also post the link in various places.

Just some quick definitions of the cells in the attached spreadsheet:

  *   External Partner – simply the name of the partner or organization
  *   Partner Type – please enter which type of partner category they fall into:
     *   School
     *   Private Company
     *   Government (including Tribal)
     *   Community (things like libraries, community centers, HOAs, parks, etc.)
     *   4-H (this will most-likely be clubs, but if there’s other partners, please include)
  *   Street Address – please be sure to not enter any extra characters as this will impact the import
  *   City
  *   Zip
  *   POC – person of contact who manages the relationship.  If multiple people, just enter one name.

This will not be the only time you have an opportunity to enter partners.  If you forget one (or some) in this first go-round, we will be able to add them later.  This will eventually turn into an annual process where all records are updated.

For now, if you could simply enter what you have as soon as possible, that would really help put us in a good position as we plan to use this platform to demonstrate to our elected leaders the footprint of Extension.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  Also, this is a .csv file, so any formatting will not be saved.  Just so you don’t spend much time on formatting.  😊
