[CED/CD/EAT] Question from admin

We are not struggling to deliver on our mission due to C-19.

In early Nov. we had 33% of our office personnel needing to quarantine (2 people). I had to quarantine starting the day of our Holiday break. We just had another have to quarantine a week ago. 71% of our staff (now up to 7!) has had to quarantine at some point since Nov.

Recently, we have had one needing to isolate because of an office exposure. We may have had an additional one or two in the past as well.

Subjectivity aside, as a percentage I'd say we have a lot, in context I would not say we have had a lot. > 65.3% would be my definition of a lot.

Here in Pinal, and what I’ve heard from others is similar, we have had people test positive (2 or 3 in a week out of nearly 40 staff) and maybe a couple more in a week needing to quarantine. I wouldn’t call that ‘a lot’ either. It’s about 10 to 15 percent of employees in any given week. Most weeks are less, so far. Cathy

Dear Directors and ADs:

I was sent an email with some questions about COVID’s impact on Extension programs, and I thought I would do a quick canvas to see if any of you had some input.

The questions are:

  1.  Are you struggling to deliver on missions one way or another because of clinical COVID illness so severe - meaning that people literally can’t work?
  2.  Are you hearing of a lot of CES employees with SARS COV2 positive tests (i.e., SARS COV2 infection) who are required to take isolation/quarantine periods? Please include your definition of “a lot”.
  3.  Are you hearing of a lot of CES employees with SARS COV2 negative tests who are required to take isolation/quarantine periods because of familial exposure? Please include your definition of “a lot.”

I will need to answer by the end of the day. My take is that there are a few instances but not what I would call a lot.

Let me know if you have any input on this.
