With regret, I announce that Malcolm Green has elected to accept a position outside the University of Arizona and will resign as Director, Maricopa Agricultural Center (MAC) ) in the Arizona Experiment Station, effective May 8, 2022.



Malcolm served in this position since August 2019, which means most of his tenure was during the Covid pandemic.  He showed strong leadership under the tough conditions that Covid presented, and his accomplishments were noteworthy regardless of the pandemic. Operations at MAC improved, and users grew and diversified during his tenure.  His departure is a big loss for MAC and all of the Arizona Experiment Station.



A search for his replacement will begin immediately.
