CEDs/EAT,
Based on some recent questions, I want to reinforce some basic points with current UA policy regarding vaccinations and personnel management as we work through phase transitions for the CES.
Please review these points carefully and then communicate and reinforce with personnel in your unit.
Summary of the current UA policies on vaccination:
* Basic points regarding the official University position:
* Vaccination is NOT mandatory. Supervisors cannot mandate employees be vaccinated.
* Vaccination status CANNOT be considered by a supervisor in performance appraisals, when establishing work schedules, or any other work-related activity.
* There are NO lists of who has or who has not been vaccinated. Employees CANNOT create such a list.
* Employees are NOT required to show a vaccination card before working in the office.
* Please review the official University vaccine FAQs here<https://hr.arizona.edu/coronavirus-information/employee-vaccine-FAQ>.
* If an employee or supervisor has questions, please contact our Human Resources consultants.
* Human Resources has published additional information on returning to in-person work and the COVID-19 vaccines.
Please communicate this information to all employees.
Thanks for cooperation and attention to these points. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,
Jeff
