>From Claire:
In our CED meeting, I mentioned this language we crafted in Pima County and I sent out to my office last week. Could you please forward this to the CEDs so that they can use it, or build on it, as needed?
_________

As we move through the spring, I anticipate that more people will be working in the office. I continue to encourage people to work at home to meet their health comfort levels. In addition, I foresee that our office will maintain flexible work locations over the long-term as some people are finding that working from home is very efficient for them. You can review the University's current Remote/Flexible Work Guidelines webpage<https://hr.arizona.edu/content/Remote-Flexible-Work-Guidelines> for additional policy information on this topic.
As you are aware, the University of Arizona encourages all personnel to become vaccinated as a matter of public health. Even though most of our staff are vaccinated, we continue to operate using the utmost caution, with all staff, volunteers, and visitors using distancing, masking, and hand washing protocols until UA guidance recommends otherwise. For those that choose not to be vaccinated, we ask that you continue to work remotely to the extent possible and if in the office, please stagger your schedules or work locations so that you reduce your time in close proximity to others. For all employees in the office, we ask that you limit your use of public areas and that you spend the majority of your time in a closed office or conference room with open the window. If possible, place a fan near the window to ventilate your space. Feel free to contact Connie, if you need accommodations. Here is a link to the CDC site with guidance on protocols for indoor classrooms<https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/schools-childcare/ventilation.html>, which will help explain the importance of ventilation. HVAC in all our buildings was upgraded by the County last fall, so the systems are at better performance levels than previously. Also, please remember that until you are two weeks out from your 2nd vaccination, you need to continue to get weekly COVID tests if you are coming into the office.

Thank you to everyone for the ongoing conversations that you are having with each other to navigate these difficult times. Everyone is doing a great job keeping programs up and running!

Have a great rest of your week!
