[CED/CD/EAT] Guidance on 4-H and Fair Spring 2021

Hello to our County-based 4-H Professional Teams,

Spring Fair season is upon us and as the community spread of COVID-19 has been on a decreasing trajectory and our UArizona Cooperative Extension (UACE) COVID-19 mitigation phases of operation increase there have been many questions. The attached memo aims to clarify the considerations and provide additional guidance. Please reach out to me as you process sanctioning events at your County Fair.

I want to give thanks to each of you for providing leadership and congruence between UACE policy, public health, and the many pressures in our community against that alignment. Your efforts are incredibly hard work and of course very often thankless. I want you to know that I understand this has been true leadership, not just in enforcing a rule, but in educating our communities about what is good for the whole. This work will continue this year and it will remain challenging but I know you are up to it and we will work through it together. Thank you.
