Hello Trent,

My name is Suzanna Denison and I am a program manager with American Farmland Trust. I am reaching out to you today, at the suggestion of Jim Wabindato with the Indian Land Tenure Foundation. We are working together to build a curriculum that focuses on supporting ag land transition from senior landholders to new and beginning farmers and ranchers, with a special focus on interpersonal communication and negotiation skills that are needed during the process. To build the curriculum, we are selecting a national cohort of agriculture service providers or “trainers” to help shape and refine the materials, and field test it with producers and landowners in their regions. Trainers will also participate in online learning, in-person trainings and have the opportunity to network with other professionals working on similar issues.

Jim suggested you may be interested or know people who would be a good fit to participate. We are looking for professionals who work directly with beginning producers and/or landowners. We are specifically holding a couple of spaces for Tribal representatives and hope you can help us identify one or two people.
