LOCAL INITIATIVES SUPPORT CORPORATION RURAL RELIEF SMALL BUSINESS GRANTS support small businesses and enterprises affected by Covid-19 across the country, especially those in underserved communities, including entrepreneurs of color, women- and veteran-owned businesses that often lack access to flexible, affordable capital. THE CHRISTOPHER & DANA REEVE FOUNDATION'S Quality of Life Grants Program is offering a COVID-19: Addressing Social Isolation track, which is designed to address social isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic, with the goal of enhancing connectedness of people living with paralysis and their caregivers to their communities and preventing adverse health outcomes. USDA – National Institute of Food and Agriculture – Food and Agriculture Service Learning Program - Awards grants to enhance or expand existing farm to school initiatives and other experiential learning initiatives related to food and agriculture, especially in underserved areas. Promotes engagement between parts of the food system, farms, and schools in order to increase understanding of agriculture and improve children's nutritional health. U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES – Rural Communities Opioid Response Program – Implementation. The Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP) is a multi-year initiative by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) aimed at reducing the morbidity and mortality of substance use disorder (SUD), including opioid use disorder (OUD), in high risk rural communities. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have developed a Social Media Toolkit: COVID-19 Vaccinations.  The toolkit offers sample social media messages and graphics to help share information on COVID-19 vaccination, and addresses information on the vaccines, benefits of vaccination, vaccine safety, and what to expect after vaccination. An article in the New York Times covers the toll that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on American Indian and Alaska Natives as tribal elders have been disproportionately killed by the disease. The article discusses the impact this has on Native language, history, and tradition, highlights efforts to protect elders as a mission of cultural survival.
