Hi PHACT,
Another reason this virus is so hard to beat back - new evidence suggests it is stable on skin for much longer than influenza A virus (9h vs 2h). See attached article out of Japan - the researchers developed a model to evaluate the stability of pathogens on human skin using forensic autopsy specimens. Our mantra needs to be Bear Down, Mask Up, and Clean your Paws...
