[CED/CD/EAT] Note from the Provost today

Silvertooth, Jeffrey C - (silverto) Silver at ag.arizona.edu
Wed May 27 18:16:40 MST 2020

Based on the information I received today at a meeting with other Deans and Senior Leaders across campus, our questions and concerns are common. We are going to have flexibility at the CES level and at the unit level.

As you all know, we have started our operating plans via the university committee that Jeremy is working on. We are not at all behind, we are doing fine.

Regards,

Jeff

Subject: Next steps for Fall Re-Entry Planning

Dear Deans and Senior Leaders,
Your unit heads / chairs / directors / managers / supervisors should now have started work on their operating plans (for all activities except research, which will be overseen by RII) for the Fall semester, in alignment with the Implementation Guidelines which are being finalized now (in parallel) and are available here http://forums.community.uaccess.arizona.edu/c/campus-reentry-plan/implementation-planning-team

Their draft plans are due to come to you or your delegate for campus re-entry planning on 5 June, and once approved should be submitted for review through this website: https://provost.arizona.edu/content/re-entry-plan-submission no later than 12 June.
As you perform your review, please ensure that there is a high level of alignment between the plans for each of your departments or teams. It will be very important to the smooth running of the campus that we can maximize the similarities in experience for students, staff and faculty as they move between facilities and activities. Familiarity and comfort when moving across our campuses will be key to our students succeeding with their class-based studies and with their research and creative activities also.
Please remember that if the standard template that we put together doesn't work well for your unit, you may adjust it accordingly, so long as the key elements are all addressed.
With thanks,

Liesl
