CEDs,

Consistent with our discussion on the conference call yesterday, I need to reinforce the following points:

* We are proceeding on our complete Extension office closures until further notice.

* We can target some dates for evaluation but we are not committing to any date for reopening offices at this time.

* Ultimately, determinations for ANY Extension office reopening and physically re-staffing, will be determined by Extension administration and communicated directly to unit leaders, including CEDs.

* During the time that Extension offices are closed, faculty and staff can return to their offices for specific short term needs. Some people will need to go into their offices occasionally to get something or take care of a specific task.

o CEDs can manage the protocols for these special short-term visits to the office by faculty and staff at the unit level.

? CEDs are responsible for maintaining Extension office closures.

o That does NOT mean that Extension offices should start with re-staffing at any level or re-establishing permanent office occupancy.

If there are any questions about this, please let me know asap.

We appreciate your cooperation.

Best regards,

Jeff
