I am reposting a note from Jessica Summers recently posted to the Discourse Forum, which was a response from the Provost to ongoing questions about due dates for operating plans.

Here it is:

Jessica Summers: " Direct communication from Provost Folks: 'We need to have operating plans ready for in-person activity in the Fall (let’s call that “Plan A”) by 24 June, so that we can share them with faculty, staff and students in a timely way. If however the pandemic in AZ is looking too dicey for Plan A, and we have to revert to fully online / remote (let’s call that “Plan B”), we think we would need to make that call by 24th July, to allow students / families, and staff and faculty, to have one month to plan ahead of the start of semester. Ideally, we will not need to make any announcement on 24th July, since Plan A will be rolling forward. If Plan B is needed, we expect will need to adjust tuition charges to students, to the tune of about ~$90M in lost revenues.' "
