Hi Everyone,

Attached is a description of the Rate Study Process for setting cost of services provided by Arizona Experiment Station Units.  It includes the Why, What and How of the Studies, and describes the fact that the Rates cover only about half the actual costs of operating an Experiment Station Unit (not allowed to include costs for building and grounds maintenance, capital equipment depreciation, utility cost for the buildings, and support staff not performing the actual service).

In addition, Parker Antin added text describing the various sources of funds that PIs can pursue if they can't cover all the fees.

As you see fit, please share with faculty in your Unit.  This will also appear on the Arizona Experiment Station web site (https://aes.cals.arizona.edu).
