Effective Immediately.

In-State Travel:
In-State travel to conduct institutional research or essential meetings is currently not-restricted although travelers should monitor the Arizona Department of Health<https://www.azdhs.gov/> for Coronavirus reported outbreaks and follow CDC guidelines<https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/faqs.html#Domestic-Travel> while traveling.

Domestic Out-of-State Travel:

All future non-essential domestic out-of-state travel for academic and business reasons by University of Arizona faculty, staff, and students remains suspended and will not be authorized until further notice due to the current outbreak of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

While domestic out-of-state travel for academic and business reasons is not advised at this time, essential domestic out-of-state travel for academic and business reasons by University staff, faculty, and students is no longer completely suspended. If travel is deemed essential, prior approval will need to be obtained from the appropriate Senior Vice President responsible for the traveler's unit.

All domestic travelers should refer to CDC guidance regarding domestic travel safety<https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/travel-in-the-us.html>.

Anyone traveling out-of-state by any means other than a personal vehicle is strongly urged to follow CDC guidance on returning from international travel (even though the individual did not travel internationally), self-quarantine for 14 days after returning to Arizona, and must not return to campus during those 14 days.

Note: This guidance applies to academic and business travel but the University recommends the same considerations for personal travel.

International Travel:
The Department of State's Global Health Advisory, which pertains to all international travel destinations, remains at Level 4 - Do not Travel<https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/ea/travel-advisory-alert-global-level-4-health-advisory-issue.html>. Please see the CDC's Travel guidelines website<https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index.html?deliveryName=USCDC_1150-DM26729> for more information about international travel risks and restrictions. Travelers should also be aware that foreign nationals may be barred entry back into the United States. Please see the CDC announcement on travelers prohibited from entry to the U.S<https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/from-other-countries.html>. for more information.
