If you have a chance to review any of this Senate meeting yesterday, I suggest at reviewing the College of Public Health discussion on gating criteria: 1:29-2:00.

As I heard from this yesterday and again in review today, I believe we are following their recommendations of using public health data and making decisions taking into account the local nuances associated with conditions, such as behavior patterns and ability to manage best public health practices.

The primary argument against the UA plan is that it "appears" to be date driven. President Robbins openly acknowledges the difficulty in managing best public health practices in the population.

Regards,

Jeff

Here is a link to yesterday's Senate meeting.

We only covered three agenda items, in this order:

1. general faculty financial advisory committee gave a report (the first hour)
2. Dr. Joe Gerald and COPH colleagues presented on the resolution to explicitly associate public health criteria with re-entry stages (the second hour)
3. Q and A with senior leadership, which turned into a big discussion on Ashford U acquisition

The chat was largely driven by comments from attendees (who were collectively speaking from a place of great frustration and anger) and not Senators so if you don't read this, you won't miss much.
