[CED/CD/EAT] Kids in need at Christmas and Cooperative Extension

This article was sent to me today and it served to remind me of the many kids in our communities that are in difficult situations and experiencing real times of need.

Many of our Extension programs are connected to young people, families, and communities with a capacity to be in contact with youth like Blake who wrote this letter to Santa.  Anything we do that provides assistance and support for young people like Blake, and they come in many forms, is extremely important.

Accordingly, I commend all of you and the many people in Extension that are making an effort to help young people in need and their families and I encourage and support their continued efforts.  Please help me communicate our sincere appreciation for our Extension personnel who deliver these programs and serve to make life and futures better for the young people like Blake.  This is important work and it is direly needed in communities across Arizona.
