Dean Burgess,

As you may know, I have replaced Monica Pastor (retired) as Cooperative Extension’s representative on the Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee. This committee puts on the annual Arizona Women in Agriculture Conference (2018 agenda attached). I understand from Monica that CALS has been a fantastic supporter of this event, and I am writing to you today in hopes of continuing that support for the 2018 event. This year’s conference will be held in Tucson, and I have been reaching out to CALS faculty, staff, and students with the hope than many will be able to attend. Additionally, Dr. Sam Garcia (UA Food Product and Safety Lab) will be one of the panelists featured on “The Food Chain” Panel during the event. Historically, CALS has contributed $1000 each year to help make the conference a success. The continued support of CALS for this conference would be extremely appreciated, and we would honored to have you attend as well if your schedule permits.
