Dear Directors and MCCE Faculty,

Although this pertains mostly to faculty with teaching appointments, you may have some comments for me.

The CALS Faculty Council will be hosting Betsy Arnold (and possibly a second CATE (Bart Cardon Academy for Teaching Excellence) Fellow during our meeting on Feb. meeting. The purpose of her visit is to listen to our concerns and comments about teaching and teaching equity at CALS/Units. The council is interested in establishing some clear discussion points and would like to hear from all faculty. An example of equity issue is "credit for developing online courses", "what constitutes a full teaching load?" "how to factor class size?", etc.
Please share your concerns and comments with me, one of your Senate representatives, or directly with the FC chairwoman Dr. Gayatri Vedantam <gayatri at email.arizona.edu>.
