[CED/CD/EAT] Developing Small Acreage Education site in Central Arizona

Dear Fellow CEDs,

 

We are having a meeting on October 25 at the Maricopa Agricultural Center to
help gage interest in the development of a small acreage education center
and the utilization of small plots at MAC for produce production.  Attached
is a flyer that I urge you to share with those who may have an interest.  We
have had several meetings with a limited number of people to gage support
from the UA and local support from a cooperative and small acreage growers.
However, we need to discuss how this program may grow and also gage interest
from growers in the surrounding geographical area.

 

This event is being sponsored by Sun Produce Cooperative, Pinal County
Extension, Maricopa County Rxtension, and Maricopa Ag. Centers with support
from our horticulture, agriculture, and SNAP-Ed programs. 

 

We are working on an agenda and will have something soon.  We needed to get
a "Save the Date" out there ASAP with calendars filling so fast.
