Subject: P&C Review process

CEDs:

Consistent with our discussion this morning I am soliciting your input regarding your preference for the pre Promotion and Continuing Appointment (P&C) review process that we utilize for county-based faculty in the CES.

I am providing two options for your consideration.   Please review and submit your preference, either A or B to Kristie Gallardo by Monday, 6 February.


A)   Adhere to UA guidelines and procedures for P&C with formal reviews for pre-Continuing packets at three and six years.  This would include preliminary reviews for the first and second years at the unit level under the direction and guidance of the unit head, CED in this case.


B)   Conduct CES system-wide formal internal reviews for all first and second year packets for county-based faculty.  In addition, we must also adhere to UA guidelines and procedures for P&C with formal reviews for pre-Continuing packets at three and six years.

I appreciate your review, consideration, and cooperation.  We need input from all of you on this please.
