[CED/CD/EAT] ALERT: Maricopa County Power Outage

***OPERATIONAL ALERT***
MARICOPA COUNTY OFFICE CLOSED DUE TO AREA POWER OUTAGE

Team,

Please be advised that Extension Personnel at the Maricopa County office have been sent home as there's been a power outage affecting the building.  On-site personnel are in frequent communications with the local Power Company, County Facilities Department, and UITS and are working to get the office up and running to normal functionality as soon as possible.

However, with temperatures in Phoenix already at 102-degrees (and expected to reach 115-degrees by midday), Site Leaders have allowed employees to work remotely while the repairs are made.  The early reports are that the issue stems from a blown area transformer and it will take much of the day to repair.

I will be working with Cathy Munger throughout the day for updates and we will place messaging on the Maricopa County site indicating the office closure to prevent visitors to a temporarily-closed office.
