Yesterday, I sent out some information about an upcoming “AWS Basics” training session, hosted by UITS on 6/23 at the UA Main Library. I mentioned that the session was open to “IT Staff”, but I intended to also invite any faculty and staff who are interested and want to learn more about Amazon Cloud offerings. I’ve heard the session is filling up fast, so please register soon if you plan to attend. The training session organizer hinted that there may be a second offering later this summer. Additionally, the UA has received a $300 discount for the re:Invent AWS annual user conference<https://reinvent.awsevents.com/>, which takes place in Las Vegas on Nov 28, 2016. The discount expires on June 22 at 11:59pm, so there’s a limited window to take advantage of this offer. These discounts are available while supplies last and they do expect to sell out.
