Dear HODs, 

 

Following extended discussions with many of you and with others in CALS,
carefully considering how the strategic goals of the CALS Research
Administrative Services (RAS) Office can best be achieved, and exploring a
variety of budgeting options, I am pleased inform you that Lorinda Mills
will continue to head up our grant support services.   Retaining Lorinda in
this position will ensure continuity and a high level of service as we begin
to implement our strategic plan to significantly expand our RAS offerings. I
appreciate the feedback I received over the past week.

 

A candidate for the Assistant Dean for Research Administration has signed a
letter of offer.  This person will serve as executive director in charge of
day-to-day operations of the RAS Office.  I will introduce you to this new
member of our team next week.
