Hello All,
Please find attached a fire advisory attached with some additional perspective from Anita Thompson below.
Dawn

Anita said: "While this advisory is only for a specific area in AZ/NM, the effects may be seen in the surrounding counties.
In my many previous years with the Forest Service, I have only seen a true fuels and fire behavior advisory one other time. It is a big watch out for the potential of large fire events (such as the Greer Fire).

Some take homes:
Our fuels moisture levels are currently that of mid-July. We are also not getting any nighttime fuel moisture recovery due to the lower relative humidities.
Fast fire spread is possible
Firefighting activities will be more complex than usual.

In evacuating livestock, there may be less time to prepare than in other instances. Contingency plans will be vital.

Stay safe

Thanks,
Anita"
