Subject: Urban Heat Island workshop

Hi Chris,

I hope the semester is going well so far!

I wanted to pass along information about a workshop that might be interesting to Ext folks. This is a collaboration between City of Tucson/Tucson Water and CLIMAS. The workshop focuses on “mythbusting” about heat (climate change, extreme weather, and urban heat) so that participants come away with a clear understanding of the drivers of all three sources of extreme heat, how they interact, and strategies to manage heat.

You’ll see that Mike is one of our speakers. But, maybe other members of the Extension climate change group would be interested.

Thanks!
Alison
