29th ANNUAL SOUTHWESTERN NOXIOUS, INVASIVE PLANT SHORT COURSE (JULY 18, 19,
and 20, 2023); FARMINGTON, NM at the SAN JUAN COLLEGE'S HENDERSON FINE ARTS
CENTER

We are pleased to be able to offer our Short Course face-to-face July 18,
19, and 20, 2023, in Farmington, NM at the San Juan College's (SJC)
Henderson Fine Arts Center in Rooms 9008 and 9010. We are offering our
3-day Short Course live and in person, including the popular 1/2-day field
trip from Farmington, NM to Durango, CO (see draft agenda, below -- NOTE
THAT ALL TIMES ARE MDT!!). Your $400 registration fee will cover: 1)
lunches and breaks on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 1 break on Thursday, 2) a
round-trip educational field trip from Farmington, NM to Durango, CO in
air-conditioned buses on Wednesday afternoon/evening, and 3) access to
electronic educational materials and Powerpoint presentations given during
the 3-day event. You will also have up close and personal access to about
13 instructors including local, regional, and national experts (see draft
agenda, below -- NOTE THAT ALL TIMES ARE MDT!!). We have requested CEUs
from the Arizona and New Mexico Departments of Agriculture.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1. We must adhere to a registration cap of 90 participants. If we reach 90
paid participants registration for the Short Course must be closed due to
space limitations with the SJC and the buses. We don't want to see anyone
get shut out so we encourage you to register early!

2. Local, regional, and national experts will share their knowledge with
YOU. The primary purpose of this regional 3-day Short Course is to explore
the biology, ecology and management of noxious, invasive weeds that threaten
economic and ecologic interests of the southwestern U.S. The course is
broken into 2 tracks. Track 1 is designed for those just getting started in
their journey to learn about various invasive/noxious plants of interest
and basic management options for problematic plants. Track 2 is designed
for folks with more experience or who are interested in going beyond plant
ID and basic management principles. Although the short course is presented
in 2 tracks you are welcome to tailor your participation in either of the
Tracks to best fit your individual desires and needs (See the Draft Agenda,
attached).

The early bird registration fee (until NOON MDT, 7/10/23) for this year's
event is once again $400 ($200 for students -- 5 student slots available).
