The Rural Business-Cooperative Service (RBS) 
announces the availability of approximately $37 
million in competitive grant funds for Fiscal 
Year (FY) 2011 to help independent agricultural 
producers enter into value-added activities. This 
Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) announces 
$19.3 million provided under the Agriculture, 
Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration 
and Related Agencies Appropriations Act of 2010 
(Pub. L. 111–80), and $17.9 million from the 
Department of Defense and Full-Year Continuing 
Appropriations Act of 2011 (Pub. L.112–20).
