ALVSCE Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Council Statement of Support - Black Lives Matter

[Agriculture, Life and Veterinary Sciences, and Cooperative Extension Weekly Bulletin]

Everyone, I want to thank Ursula and our whole Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Council team for all the work they have been doing for years and especially now for this most recent clear statement.

I want you to know that I fully support the D&I Council and its actions and activities. I take heed of their counsel. l recommend the Council and its members to everyone in our enterprise as the experts that they are. As I do, please take advantage of the Council members' knowledge, skills, experiences and advice, as well as the opportunities that the Council continually offers us all to learn and be better.

We have a lot of hard Diversity and Inclusion work ahead of us, especially as we work together to dismantle entrenched systemic racism and inequality especially against African Americans, as well as all other discrimination, prejudice, inequality, unfairness, and inequity.
