China Travel Suspension

Agriculture, Life and Veterinary Sciences, and Cooperative Extension Weekly Bulletin alvsce_bulletin at list.cals.arizona.edu
Mon Feb 3 15:45:12 MST 2020

Everyone,

Effective immediately and until further notice:

Because of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak, University of Arizona faculty, staff, and students' academic and business travel to mainland China is suspended and will not be authorized. The Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau are not part of mainland China and so are not included in this travel suspension. Travel through Hong Kong's airport is permissible but undergraduate travel is still not allowed and all other proposed travel to Hong Kong still requires review by the university's International Travel Safety Oversight Committee (ITSOC). If you circumvent this travel suspension by traveling to mainland China on your vacation time and work voluntarily, the UArizona will not reimburse your costs.

However, please visit UArizona Coronavirus information page<https://health.arizona.edu/healthalerts> for updates prior to any planned travel.

Regards,
Shane
