Public Forum to provide input for Dr. Parker Antin's 5-year Administrative Review as Associate Dean for Research

Dear CALS colleagues,



As you may know, this Fall we are undertaking a 5-year Administrative Review of Dr. Parker Antin's service to CALS as Associate Dean of Research.  This is not a direct review for continued administrative appointment, but is a professional development opportunity for the college and Dr. Antin to collect input from the CALS community on the evolution of the CALS research mission over the past 5 years.  The objective is to utilize the feedback to identify areas of success, remaining challenges, and opportunities for progress going forward.  These reviews are critical aspects of all UA senior administrators' professional service and continued development.



Attached to this email you will find a copy of Dr. Antin's self-assessment as Associate Dean for Research over the past 5 years.



We seek input from a broad cross-section of faculty and staff in CALS to help assess Dr. Antin's performance in four areas:  1) Building Trust, 2) Fostering Collaboration, 3) Maximizing Resources, and 4) Achieving Results.  You recently received an invitation to participate in a Qualtrics Survey on the same topic.  With this email I'm inviting you to a public forum and opportunity to speak directly with members of the Review Committee to provide additional input.   That forum will be held from 11:00 am - Noon on Monday, November 4, 2019 in ENR2 room S215.   Several members of the Review Committee will be present and eager for whatever input you care to provide on Dr. Antin's performance and the CALS research environment.
