aligns with what I shared a few weeks ago, I’ve included key takeaways from the Q&A session below. If you have the time, I encourage you to watch the full recording once it is released.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><i><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Admissions Updates:<o:p></o:p></span></i></b></p>
<ul style="margin-top:0in" type="disc">
<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo5"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Early Action Deadline: Admissions and Honors will now share the same Early Action deadline- November 1. Decisions will be released on January 15. After,
regular admission decisions will be released in two batches, likely in February and March.<o:p></o:p></span></li><ul style="margin-top:0in" type="circle">
<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level2 lfo5"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Waitlist: A waitlist will be implemented for students on the cusp of admission. Some Early Action applications may roll into the regular admission pool,
depending on class size and application volume. This is a major shift for Arizona residents.<o:p></o:p></span></li></ul>
<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo5"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Goal: These changes are designed to help us better plan for the incoming class and support their path to graduation.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo5"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Application Changes: Details regarding application components (writing samples, personal statements) are still being finalized. We’ll share updates as
they become available.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo5"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Assured Admission: This will no longer guarantee admission but will guarantee that an application will be reviewed.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo5"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Appeals Process: Students will still be able to appeal both admissions decisions and merit-based scholarships. Specific criteria are still being finalized.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo5"><span style="font-size:11.0pt">Scope: These changes apply only to first-year, main campus students. it’s become clear that the University is shifting focus — moving away from broad recruitment efforts and placing more emphasis on retention and graduation outcomes. Like many of you, I have a lot of unanswered questions, and I’m learning more as new information

<p class="elementtoproof"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;color:#156082"> While initial models and planning do anticipate that these changes will result in a smaller incoming first-year class, the impetus for these changes are to increase the ability of the institution
to appropriately admit students who we know we can support to be successful graduates of our institution, connecting students with the resources and support they need to succeed. We are awaiting enrollment goals from senior administration and anticipate working
in tandem with colleges to meet college specific enrollment targets.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
