<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">It is with mixed emotions that I announce the departure of Amanda Bogden, Internship Program Manager in the CALES Career Center, from the College of Agriculture, Life & Environmental Sciences.
Amanda has been with the Career Center since January 2022 and, from day one, has made a positive and significant impact on the career development of undergraduate and graduate students in our college. Her knowledge of the agriculture industry, her commitment
to supporting first-generation and underrepresented students, and her skill in building relationships with partners and employers have been key advantages to the work of the Career Center.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Guided by a data informed approach, Amanda launched several programs in her time at CALES – all of which are now considered signature initiatives: the weekly CALES Career Talks, Internship
Navigators, and the Arizona/Sonora Borderlands Alternative Spring Break. In her most recent role as Internship Program Manager, Amanda has elevated awareness of the importance of internships and the invaluable relationships and opportunities they create. Because
of her efforts, CALES students are better connected, prepared and competitive for a diverse range of paid internships, including the federal pathways internship program.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Here’s the silver lining: Amanda’s new role is with the UA Graduate College, as Associate Director of Graduate Career Services. The CALES Career Center, and graduate students we support, look
forward to working with Amanda in her new position. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Amanda’s last day in CALES is Friday, August 2. We plan to celebrate Amanda before her departure, stay tuned for details.
