<p class="Default"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">The USDA-Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Pacific West Area (PWA) is partnering with four-year Minority Serving Institutions to offer highly qualified students professional experience through our “Science
in Action” Summer Training Program. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="Default"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">This unique training program provides students the opportunity to study with world-renowned scientists in the USDA-ARS-PWA to gain hands-on experience working on cutting edge research in many areas including:
Food Science, Crop Production, Plant Genetics and Breeding, Entomology, Natural Resources, Bioproducts, and Engineering. This is a fully funded 8-week summer internship. Based on successful completion of the first year, students may have an option to complete
a second 8-week internship the following summer. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
