GE representatives will be available during the Spring 2022 orientation sessions to answer advisors’ questions when working with students.

First-year students will be pre-scheduled for UNI 101 and will not be able to drop/swap this class themselves. Super users in the college will be able to make this swap.

Expressed concern over the difficulty of students having an additional class that they cannot change on their own.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo2">
Discussed how the UNI 101 class could conflict with majors that require students to take major classes starting the first semester. Transfer students should not have this issue.

UNI 101 & 301 should not show on transfer students’ ADVIPs.<o:p></o:p></li></ul>

The ABOR policy stating that students need to take at least 32 units of GEs to satisfy the requirement, with no exceptions, is being verified.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo2">
It is recommended that students take UNI 301 when they’ve completed foundations writing and math, as well as completed or in progress 5 out of 7 GE classes.
<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo2">
Class search is being built with a warning message so that when a student is searching for a GE  based on the wrong set of requirements, students will be notified in order to prevent enrollment in the wrong program.
<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo2">
Advisors currently do not have substitution authority although this permission is being strongly recommended during the ramp up of the implementation and not as many courses available.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo2">
Over 300 courses should be available for the Fall 2022 cohort. Course cap for UNI 101 will be around 25 students. UNI 301 is designed to be 7 weeks online for all students.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo2">
Attributes will not be implemented until Fall 2024.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo2">
