<p class="MsoNormal">Regarding CALS’ recent Honors Convocation ceremony – please refer to the message below for students who reach out with questions about their cord and/or name being published. Let me know if you/your students have any questions!

<p class="MsoNormal">Similar to in-person ceremonies, CALS does not automatically and publicly recognize all eligible recipients during virtual ceremonies – only those who RSVP/attend/or opt-in. To respect student privacy rights, CALS adheres to an “opt-in”
policy when it comes to using a student’s name publicly (e.g. through social media or on our website). The students included in the CALS 2020 Virtual Honors Convocation video and also on the CALS website opted-in to have their name published. Some students
elected to opt-out of public recognition and, as such, their name is not listed in the video nor on the CALS website.

<p class="paragraph" style="vertical-align:baseline"><span class="normaltextrun">For the 2020 Honors Convocation, all 733 CALS recipients were given the option to opt-in. The deadline was September 30, 2020. If students were invited to opt-in but didn’t do
