<div dir="ltr">In reference to email below, on behalf of CALS we’ll continue to send the initial communications to students with an academic eligibility status. This includes students that attain eligible status and students that earned a cumulative gpa below
a 2.0 after Spring term (yet will remain with eligible status). </div>

<div dir="ltr">We plan to run the report, send to each respective advisor and copy unit heads/directors. We have yet to solidify a plan of action for students that have a cumulative gpa below a 2.0 for the first time after Spring 2020. Given the pass/fail
grade change request in place through June 30, we anticipate the initial report from May 28, to change by early July. We’ll internally run another report then. </div>

<p style="margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">The Academic Eligibility process for Spring 2020 will run tomorrow, May 28, 2020. We will be running different pieces of the process throughout
the day, and should have all the processes completed by the end of business. As indicated in earlier communication from Provost Folks, academic standing will only be updated to Academically Eligible if the student improved; otherwise, their current standing
will carry forward.</span></p>
<p style="margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif"> </span></p>
<p style="margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt; line-height:15.0pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Here are some quick reference points:</span></p>

<li class="x_MsoNormal" style="line-height:15.0pt; mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">A report will be available in Analytics to review all academic standing for all undergraduate students. Once
the report is active, I will forward the link to the Advising Community.</span></li><li class="x_MsoNormal" style="line-height:15.0pt; mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Students who move to Academically Eligible status will be notified through the system when the process runs.</span></li><li class="x_MsoNormal" style="line-height:15.0pt; mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Advisors will need to reach out to students who have a Cumulative GPA less than 2.0 and maintain their current
academic standing.</span></li><li class="x_MsoNormal" style="line-height:15.0pt; mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">There is an updated

<span style="font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">Academic eligibility is the ability to enroll in courses at the University of Arizona; it is automatically calculated at the end of each fall and spring semester. The five undergraduate
academic statuses are: eligible, academic review, academic warning, academic probation, ineligible.</span></p>

<span style="font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Calibri Light",sans-serif">The academic eligibility status of an undergraduate student at the end of the Spring 2020 term will be determined by the student’s most recent status, unless a student earns a cumulative
2.0 GPA or greater, in which case their status will become "eligible." This will allow students to move out of the bottom four statuses if they had a "good" Spring 2020 semester, or remain in their current status if the Spring 2020 semester is not helpful
to their academic standing. That is, with this revised policy, a student could not move from warning to probation, nor from probation to ineligible statuses. (Email | Provost Folks | March 20, 2020)</span></p>
