<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif;color:#44546A">Many students are contacting Graduation Services, asking if their degree can be awarded ahead of the August conferral date.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif;color:#44546A">We get this question a lot in the summer – not so much during the regular semesters.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif;color:#44546A">Per ABOR policy, we (including ASU and NAU)
<u>do not award degrees prior to any of the conferral dates</u>.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif;color:#44546A">We will begin awarding degrees on Monday, August 19<sup>th</sup> for Summer 2019.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif;color:#44546A">If a student has complete their requirements, please let your Graduation Services Advisor know.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Cambria",serif;color:#44546A">We can place the student in “Approved” status so that they are in the queue for awarding as quickly as possible.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
