Students admitted in Summer do not have to enroll in a summer course to keep their admission. Summer admits must contact Admissions to advise that they prefer to start in Fall and they will be allowed to
skip Summer enrollment. Students will need to sign up for and attend NSO, at NSO the student will be given a Fall term for enrollment in UAccess. This allows for the student to enroll in either term or both should they decide to do that. Previously, I understood
that students must take at least 1 class in the term they are admitted, in order to keep their admission status, however, this is not accurate for Summer admits since they can change their mind about participating in summer programs like New Start. I spoke
with an admissions staff member on the phone last week and confirmed with Dolores Machado via email about this as well. I wanted to share this info in case you are reaching out summer admits, if you have any. Thank You!
