If you have a student who needs just a few more credit hours, have him/her consider AED 295B –
The Heritage and Traditions of the University of Arizona. This is NOT a general education course, but it’s a fun elective. I am the course instructor and have had as many as 300 students enrolled in the course. The course is offered each semester and
I am attempting to boost enrollment for Fall 2018.

The purpose of this course is to cultivate a loyalty and appreciation for the University of Arizona by teaching students about its rich traditions and heritages. Among many things we highlight the John “Button” Salmon story, the history
and evolution of Old Main, our mascots, and other historical/significant events, people, and buildings. We also touch on the various scientific discoveries and campus art. Along with these exciting topics, we have the UA President, Provost, Deans, Directors
and athletic coaches talk with students about current UA events. To allow you to better understand the course, I have attached the course syllabus and included a video link to a promo video
