<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">As a follow-up to my message last week about modifying door security in Forbes during final exams (see below), we will run a test of the doors during a slow-time/"dead day", this Thursday @ 10am.

<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">I will place signs on the doors Thursday morning informing those attempting to access the locked doors, and not wanting to use their Cat Card to gain entrance, to use the west side lobby doors.</p>

<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0">If all goes as planned, we will initiate the change in schedule Thursday the 3rd - Friday the 11th.<br>

<div>Due to recent thefts in Forbes, and in an effort to make the our facility more secure during times of less traffic in the building, Dean Burgess has requested that all exterior doors to the Forbes Building, except the main western doors to the lobby,
be secured with keycard access 24/7 during winter session, “finals week” of spring and fall semesters, and the week prior to spring and fall semesters.<br>
<br>
This update to security will first be implemented next week during finals and run May 3rd - 11th. During those days all exterior doors will be locked 24/7, except the three west lobby doors will be unlocked during business hours. Entering the locked exterior
doors will require CatCard access. All personnel needing access to Forbes via CatCard should already be in the system. If you don't want to use your CatCard to enter locked doors during business hours then use the unlocked west lobby doors. On May 14th we
will resume our usual security hours for the summer.<br>
<br>
During May 3-11, deliveries to Forbes must be made through the west lobby doors if requiring an immediate unlocked entrance, otherwise you can meet delivery personnel down by the south door near the elevator since that exterior door will be locked during those
days. Please plan accordingly and alert your delivery drivers, etc.<br>
<br>
Thank you in advance for your patience as we implement this new schedule in order to better secure Forbes and it's occupants.
