<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Garamond",serif">There has been much in the media lately regarding harassment and assault. It makes sense to remind ourselves of the laws and policies around harassment, and our obligation as
leaders to report and respond to issues that we become aware of. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Garamond",serif">The college created a<a href="https://cals.arizona.edu/cbs/policies/offer-letter-verbiage-inserts">policy</a> that requires offer letters to include the mandate on employees to
review the<a href="http://equity.arizona.edu/training/online-training">UA anti-discrimination and harassment training</a> within 30 days of employment. This training is available online. I retook the training this morning and found it helpful to refresh
my memory. I encourage all leaders to do the same.</span></p>

and report these concerns to either the Dean of Students (DOS) or the Office of Institutional Equity (OIE). We also have a duty to prevent or stop retaliation against individuals who engage in protected activities, like reporting harassing behaviors.</span></p>
