winter break after Christmas exploring the highest biodiversity on the planet in the Amazon rainforest in the Yasuni region in Ecuador! The UA Study Abroad Program Amazon Rainforest Conservation Biology is a 2-3 week program and takes place at the Shiripuno
Field Station in the Amazon Rainforest.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;color:black">The Shiripuno Field Station is run by the local Huaoranis and will function as our base camp for the majority of the class. Comfortable
rustic accommodations and an extensive network of well-maintained trails in pristine rainforest make it is an ideal location to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We will conduct multiple excursions in the area guided by local guides to observe plants,
birds, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and many other unique features of this amazing forest.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

great opportunity to develop an Honors Thesis. Research can include biodiversity, working with Huaoranis to understand their relationships with the environment, and investigate the conflict of natural resource extraction (oil) in one of the last untouched
rainforests on Earth. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
