has actually been serving the U of A and larger Tucson communities for over thirty years. With a small staff that has never exceeded eight members,

with my graduate studies by attending the writing workshops, attending the Graduate Writing Institute and dissertation tutoring until my degree completion three years ago. Additionally, the department I work for would hire writing tutors from the WSIP to instruct
summer program participants.<br>

Without the WSIP, I would have never survived the dissertation process. Receiving feedback on how to structure my thoughts and turn them into a document that is now used to frame holistic review within medical school admissions would not have been possible.
The patience that the instructors, specifically John and Andrea, had with me gave me the confidence to write about my findings and my personal and professional experiences. I am so very grateful to this program!<br>

I appreciate the opportunity to work for Dr. Maria Teresa Velez and other college partners to secure funding for this program. The fact that the services were free and that the tutors took their time to get to know you and your writing story was so helpful
and eased my fear of writing.<br>
