Society, Alpha in Arizona Chapter.<br>
We welcome submissions from any UA affiliate (students, faculty, staff) as well as members of the local Tucson community. We are eager to collect as many submissions as we can, and we deeply appreciate your time and consideration.<br>
We welcome any form of expression, from photos and paintings to sculptures and musical performances. Artwork can either be put up for sale (10% will go to event organizers), donated to support the event, or simply be displayed and returned to the artist afterward. This
is a great opportunity for scientists and artists alike to showcase their unique, interdisciplinary talent.<br>

the world's largest museum complex. Interns will learn skills in a broad range of horticultural endeavors from SI's expert professional staff and can provide a strong practical background to emerging professionals hoping to enter the public gardening world.<br>

We accept current and recently graduated undergraduate and graduate students studying horticulture, landscape architecture, museum studies, or other related fields. Selection is based on both an evaluation of the applicant’s application and available positions. <br>

<i>Office of Student Engagement</i> is partnering with the student-led<i> InnovateUA</i> for their first initiative of the year -
<b>Pitchfest</b>.<br>
<br>
Pitchfest is part of a nationwide competition celebrating students and the power of their ideas. From September 25th to
<b>November 6th</b>, students can log onto <a href="http://pitchfest.arizona.edu" target="_blank">
<span style="color:blue">pitchfest.arizona.edu</span></a> and upload a video explaining their big idea in one of 11 categories. The prize in each category starts at $500 - the more people participate, the higher the prize! <u>Students can win up to $1000 for
their idea!</u><br>
<b>The pitch is the new and improved elevator speech. In 3 minutes or less, students should film themselves talking about their idea.</b> The key is to keep it short, clear, and passionate. Students can submit their video on <a href="http://pitchfest.arizona.edu/" target="_blank"><span style="color:blue">pitchfest.arizona.edu</span></a>.
The winning ideas in each of the 11 categories will receive a monetary prize of up to $1000.<br>
<br>
In addition to competing as individuals, <b>Pitchfest also includes a friendly competition between the colleges at the University of Arizona</b>. The winning college will be the one with the most student pitches across all categories (relative to college size)! Each
college will have one Talent Team Representative, a student nominated by the Dean of that college, who responsibilities will include promoting Pitchfest and staffing the Pitch Tables at the Main Library on Mondays or Wednesdays.</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><br>
