Hi Agvisors,

I wanted to give you all a heads up that we have given the new freshmen students in CALS 195C an assignment which requires them to fill out a worksheet that they can access in D2L (I have also attached it for your reference) and set up
an appointment with you to go over the worksheet. The purpose of the assignment is to give the students an opportunity to have a developmental conversation with you regarding their major selection, career goals, and plans for the upcoming semester. We introduced
the assignment in our class yesterday/today, and indicated that students should begin setting up appointments with their advisors now. We understand that some of you may have walk-ins only, or limited advising schedules, but as this is a success course meant
specifically to help CALS students in the transition from high school to college we ask that you try to be accommodating to them for this assignment.

The assignment is due on September 27, so all students should meet with you by September 25 (next Friday). They should also bring the filled out worksheet with them to the appointment, and they will request that you sign the bottom as
proof that the appointment did take place. In addition to attaching a copy of the worksheet that students will fill out and present to you during their appointment, I have also attached a class list so that you can be aware of the students in your major(s)
who are enrolled in CALS 195C.
