<p class="MsoNormal">As a reminder, a service indicator (advising hold) was placed on probationary students’ UAccess Student Center account on 6/11/15. This is for all students with a GPA below a 2.0 in CALS. There are 241 students in this status. This hold
allows students to drop courses, but prevents them from adding to their schedules.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">To remove the hold students will need to complete the following:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="text-indent:-.25in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo2"><![if !supportLists]><span style="font-family:Symbol"><span style="mso-list:Ignore">·<span style="font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"">
</span></span></span><![endif]>First time students on probation (probation letters 2 and 7 [first time students only]) will be required to fill out an academic plan (attached for your reference), schedule an appointment with the major advisor, and an appointment
with a CAS advisor (Kristen or Nancy). Kristen or Nancy will remove the hold once they meet with us.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="text-indent:-.25in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo2"><![if !supportLists]><span style="font-family:Symbol"><span style="mso-list:Ignore">·<span style="font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"">
</span></span></span><![endif]>Continuing students on probation (probation letters 3, 4, 6) will need to schedule an appointment with a CAS advisor. They will be encouraged to meet with their major advisor but won’t make it mandatory to remove the hold, since
they are continuing on probation and should have met with you when they first ended up on probation (last term or previously). We will provide them with their options on how to they can attain good standing (i.e. GRO, retroactive withdrawal if they qualify,
etc.) <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="text-indent:-.25in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo2"><![if !supportLists]><span style="font-family:Symbol"><span style="mso-list:Ignore">·<span style="font:7.0pt "Times New Roman"">
</span></span></span><![endif]>Continuing students on probation with letters 7 have been changed to ‘no major selected’ in CALS. They will be required to schedule an appointment with a CAS advisor.

</span></span></span><![endif]>Disqualified students (letter 1) were also placed with a hold. Their enrollment has been cancelled from summer session I and subsequent terms, but in case they want to speak with someone and they missed reading their email the
service indicator hold will refer them to CAS. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">All probationary students will need to meet with either Nancy or me in order to have their mandatory advising holds removed. The probation list that includes all students on probation and the letters they were assigned is attached for
your reference. Please let Nancy or I know if you have any additional questions or concerns.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Some students may have a mandatory advising hold but they are not on probation. Please verify why they have a mandatory advising hold and who placed the hold to know how it can be removed. You can click the negative service indicator
