This event is meant to showcase the aesthetic appeal of the life sciences and celebrate the fusion of science and art. The event will be co-hosted by the Neuroscience and Cognitive Science (NSCS) Ambassadors and the Nu Rho Psi neuroscience honors society.<br>

We welcome submissions from any UA affiliate (students, faculty, staff) as well as members of the local Tucson community. We are eager to collect as many submissions as we can, and we deeply appreciate your time and consideration. <br>
We welcome any form of expression, from photos and paintings to sculptures and musical performances. Artwork can be put up for sale at the event (10% will go to the event organizers), donated to the event organizers to sell or keep on display, or simply displayed at the event and returned to the artist afterward. We feel that this is a great opportunity for scientists and artists alike to showcase their unique, interdisciplinary talent.<br>

The University of Arizona Water Resources Research Center (WRRC) is offering a summer internship to a student interested in gaining experience writing about environmental and water issues. The internship is supported by Montgomery & Associates, an Arizona-based consulting firm specializing in hydrology and water resource issues. The selected intern will contribute to research and writing for an issue of Arroyo, the annual WRRC publication that focuses on a critical Arizona water issue. Arroyo is recognized as source of objective, accurate and understandable information and reaches a wide audience that includes policy makers and water professionals as well as the interested public.<br>
The topic selected for the 2016 Arroyo is potable water reuse. It will provide an overview of history, plans, technologies, water quality concerns, regulations, and public acceptance issues regarding the potable reuse of water in Arizona.<br>
Enrolled students in good standing at the University of Arizona, Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University are eligible. The intern will work approximately 20 hours per week for 10 weeks between the end of May and the beginning of August 2015 for a stipend of $2,500.<br>
The intern will work at the WRRC offices in Tucson. The successful applicant will be responsible for his/her own accommodations. <br>

<span style="font-size:12px"><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif"><span style="color:#003366">The Department of Nutritional Sciences, University of Arizona's Mediterranean Diet & Health Study Abroad Program offers a summer class in Verona, Italy, a beautiful and historic Northern Italian city. The syllabus includes discussions of the epidemiological and preclinical evidence related to the health benefits of the Mediterranean diet against chronic diseases (cancer, obesity, diabetes, etc) as well hands-on culinary experiences with Italian chefs and food experts. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the approach to food preparation, agriculture and community-based cultural activities characteristic to the Mediterranean region. Excursions include meetings with food producers, visits to olive oil, pasta, and cheese processing plants as well as touring of historic sites including the Roman downtown of Verona, and opportunities to attend musical and opera events. Verona is located in close proximity to Venice, Milan, and Florence.<br>

This 6-credit course is designed for students who have minimum sophomore standing, junior, and senior students in nutritional sciences, biological, physiological and related biomedical and social sciences, as well as undergraduate students who have a comparable background in the science and health fields.<br>

This unique program begins on May 18th 2015 with coursework at the University of Arizona in Tucson, then continues from May 24 through June 20th, 2015 in Verona, Italy. Students not residing in Tucson during the first week will have the option of online participation.<br>
