<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:13px">The freshman portion of the ASEM Scholars program is provided in the spring through a one-unit course (SCI 195B) that meets for one hour weekly. AZ Assurance Scholars are given

Scholars continue to pursue a STEM major by their third year.</span></p>

</span></span></span><u></u><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"">It also partners you with a staff/faculty mentor who is knowledgeable about your STEM field. ASEMS provides a community of peers, staff, and faculty that are tracking
your academic progress and well-being and provides guidance in applying for advanced programs such as summer research programs, internships, UBRP, MARC, and the NASA Space Grant Programs.</span></p>
