freshmen and sophomores with a demonstrated interest in environmental issues and cultural diversity</span></strong> to receive training, support, mentorship, and approximately $10,000 over two years for paid research experiences and internships. Scholars will participate in an intensive conservation skills and leadership program; work with agency, faculty and graduate student mentors on paid group research projects and internships; attend national meetings; and engage in mentoring and social networks.<br><strong><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>The University of Arizona is looking for 5 students to begin the DDCSP at UA in June 2014.</span></strong> Applications are available now and will be accepted through February 25, 2014. While preference will be given to qualified sophomore applicants, freshmen will also be considered for the program and are encouraged to apply. He holds an M.S. in Watershed Management (2003) and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (1992), both from the University of Arizona.<br> <br>Juston Knight brought an extensive background of knowledge and experience regarding Arizona’s mental health system to Pima County as a Juvenile Probation Officer. As a Probation Officer, he gained a wealth of information about the Criminal Justice System and how it interfaces with the mental health networks. He left the Probation Department and is currently a Victim Advocate at the <strong><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Pima County Attorney’s Office</span></strong> charged with creating a Victim Services Division for southern Pima County.<br> <br>Beverly Mason Biggers began working with <strong><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD)</span></strong> after her 25-year-old brother, Scott, was hit and killed by a repeat drunk driving offender in 1992. Sigma Alpha will provide chips and other supplies and you are encouraged to bring information to promote your club. Patrons of the festival will then try your salsa throughout the day and vote of their favorite. The top salsa will receive a <strong><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>gift basket jam packed full of goodies</span></strong> such as Mrs. Field’s Cookies, Fleming’s gift card, See’s Candies and much more.<br> <br>If you are interested please fill out a short form in Forbes Room 211 and submit it to Kristen Geary along with the <strong><span style='font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>entry fee of $15 by March 5th</span></strong>.
