I have also updated the Guide for Testing with new instructions, on the second page. The new instructions are also listed below.

I had originally told Nancy that you should only test students in 2011-2012… I was wrong (I’m sorry Nancy!!). You should think of a few students in early catalogs to test so you can see if their transfer work shows up correctly. When this goes live in January you will only be able to use it for 2011-2012 students, but for testing purposes you can view students in earlier catalogs.

I’ve had questions about how many students you should test. Test about 5 or so students in the 2011-2012 catalog. Find students that have come in as freshman, and also find transfer students. Please do the same for students back to the 2009-2010 catalog to present.

Also, please don’t be afraid of the checklist. Items are yes/no questions. If you come across a No (issue)-something that is incorrect, then you need to take more detailed notes on the errors or issues.

If you test a group of students and they have the same major and the answers are all “Yes” then just list all of the student ids you tested and turn in one check sheet. If you come across errors, then you would need to email me individual check sheets.

Please please please let me know if you have any questions/concerns/fears. This isn’t a scary process I promise!

Call me if you need to, 621-7466 J

Thank you!!

Heather
